OKAY. I asked for your character references with personalities...and this is the crap I came up with. Well, so far, anyway. I haven't done any in a couple of days (sorry to those who are still waiting) and, since I've finally got Photoshop on here, I figured I'd just crop the canvas to hold all of those that I've done. And voilà. Here we go.

I'm gonna go left to right, top to bottom, and write an individual comment about each one.

- Sammi Fox
I have ALWAYS loved pink and yellow as a colour scheme, so props to you for combining them in a character design :3 Lovely character, I tried to get her feminine but slightly ditzy.

- Ash
Mmmm. Antisocial characters. c: Sorry if you think I copped out on this by having her back facing us but..it seemed more..antisocial to do that. Sharp lines, smooth joins to make a menacing look.

- Huo
Wow, this was hard to pull off. XD You can't really see it but the furthest eyebrow is frowning so he appears slightly cocky, with a tilted grin to further that. Woo. :3

- Bows
She doesn't look very..8-year-oldy...as you know. XD; But I tried. I loved your comment ("Someone tell her that jumper's too big for her") so I played on that :3 although it doesn't seem very baggy here.

- Aki
This was hard to do - trying to incorporate a set personality into a pup, when they normally develop when they're older. But I think I pulled it off, playful like a pup, but very "knowledgable" at the same time, thanks to the expression.

- Roku
Again, another hard to do one, since there was just a picture and a little bit of dialogue, but Roku seemed to be the sort who would be very stand-offish with others, hence the slight frown, but at the same time he appeared mystical so this pose was sort of a no-brainer.

- Zaygen
I LOVE this one :3 The colours and design weren't so simple that I got bored, and it was great making her appear bright and happy. I really like this one - one of my favourites :]

- Larka
Again, I really like this one. Inquisitive for me seemed to scream "perspective" so I tried something with perspective, although it failed miserably. I was gonna have one eye closed to start, but that presented the problem of "how can she see the butterfly? - she's blind in one eye". A minor obstacle but one I'd have to remember to work around in future.

- Pickles
Another happy one. Getting hard to think up new poses, hah. But another experiment with perspective, I really like this one, as it shows Pickles' bright and playful nature. Woot.

- Sika
This has to be my favourite of them all. I managed to make Sika appear mature but at the same time inquisitive (to me, at least). I might have failed in how bright she's meant to be but I still love this. And the little frog..hah. :3

- Nichibotse
It looks like I just ripped off this pose from the reference, hah. It was hard trying to draw a proud character but I managed it quite well I think, the raised tail seeming very show-offy. The mouth looks wonky but it's supposed to be a lopsided grin...on the other side. If that makes sense. The flames were hard to colour but overall I like it.

- Kai & Jayson
My first pair of characters :] Just what I needed - identical twins with different personalities. I managed to put that into play here, with one standing over the other, seemingly dominant. I managed to differ their faces and expressions slightly, too, although you might not spot that. Great fun, these two. :]

- Zaivyer
Ohhhh I love this pose :3 Thinking about how Zaivyer likes raves and glowsticks and so forth, this leapt to mind (no pun intended). It looks kind of odd but it makes sense to me. The features are meant to be slightly exaggerated..And the tail curls round..It was cool working with a crossbreed of anubis and wolf (?).

- Keoza
But I HATE this one x: I tried my hardest, I really did, but it's very hard for me to position things with no arms, I've found. It was harder that there was only a simple picture of the character with no real personality...but I hope this is okay. Just..slightly formidable, in a power/dominating pose.

- Koushalu
I seem to be able to put characters so their main markings face away from us. XD But I had fun with this one, a cute character, a cute pose. Although she seems more grown up here, oops. x:

- Kitsu
Another one I REALLY like. I think this is the best cat I've ever drawn. ;D For some reason I still had brown selected so the sketch is brown. Such a simple design but I loved playing with the whole "loud & obnoxious" and "likes chasing things" idea. She doesn't look like she's moving much but...stalking, perhaps.

- Zaroshii
I had a totally different pose in mind originally (he was one of the ones I biro'd) but then this sprang to mind and I decided to use it. Relaxed but still withdrawn with the arms to the face. And I couldn't resist putting in little sockies. cx

- Apoc
Ears perked for dominance..very stiff pose though. :/ And you don't see much of his design. But Apoc was a great character, I loved making him very angular and regal-looking, although this would probably have been better for a lion.

Okay so this is the first batch :3 There might not be many more for a while since I have to do my biology coursework (...in the next two days <.< and then after that, school starts again ... And I'm in an art slump, probably because I've churned out so many of these in such a short space of time. XD BUT I'll get to the rest as soon as possible.
